 Școala Gimnazialǎ “Nicolae Iorga”
is located in the city of Focșani, which is the residence of Vrancea county, situated in the central-eastern Romania. The city has a population of around 80 000 inhabitants. In the school year 2019-2020 Școala Gimnazialǎ  “Nicolae Iorga” functions as a public school with 24 classes - 13 classes at primary level (pupils aged 6-10) and 11 classes at secondary level (pupils aged 11-14). There are 642 students and 36 teachers. 


1971 - The school opened its doors as a Pedagogical High School
1977 -  The institution became Școala Generalǎ Nr. 1 (a secondary school)
2000 - The school changed its name into what today it is Școala Gimnazialǎ “Nicolae Iorga”

The school building has a physics, a chemistry and a biology lab, a gym, a library and a psychological and speech therapy office.
The most important aim of our school is increasing the quality of education by promoting values in an open partnership, with the effective and responsible involvement of all social partners.

The mission of the school is for each student to benefit from the chance to develop a harmonious personality, autonomous and creative, in order to prepare for a higher level of education and also as a good European citizen, who can easily adapt to the requirements of the ever-moving modern society and change, through the effort and positive involvement of direct beneficiaries and school staff.
